Hi George,

Diana and I could use your help ...

I know she sent you an individual subscriber email last week describing
the 5th anniversary thank you offer we're currently running on our
website. (B.T.W. Thank you again!) [smile]

www.managingthewaterway.com <http://www.managingthewaterway.com>

Basically, if people buy the just released 2010 2-DVD set, /Managing the
Waterway: Complete Electronic Chart and Nautical Reference Library/,
they get a FREE copy of our latest book, /Get Onboard With
E-Charting/ ($34.95) to go with it ... kind of the companion driver's
manual. [wink]

What a fun project to work on every year! The whole concept of
harvesting whatever we can find in the public domain which would be of
interest to a U.S. or International boater is a hoot and the DVDs just
keep getting better and better. Far beyond simply updating e-charts,
there is now something for everyone ... as an example, this year we
added a complete offline version of The (CIA) World Factbook. (FYI: I'll
attach a media release below as a PDF.)

But this morning I realized I needed help to make sure all of our boater
friends found out about the thank you freebie AND the February 28th web
deadline.

And that's where you and your association leadership could help a lot ...

Until February 28th, this anniversary deal is far better than the 20%
discount Diana and I typically offer associations and I think lots of
members would be interested in either: updating their stale charts and
publications; reading the book and learning how to get more from their
computers; or getting started in the whole e-charting thing with a
complete bundle of charts, pubs, free & trial software, and a detailed
reference book on the subject.

So I thought I'd quick ping you and ask you to cascade this offer to
your Alberg 30 Association constituents.

Can you please hit whatever electronic medium makes the most sense to
you? We still have three weeks so Forums, blogs, Association websites,
email blasts, whatever ... they would all be a GREAT help ... to us and
to your members!

And, as usual, thanks again for all of your support. There were a few
bumps the first five years ... but folks like you helped us stay in the
deep water!

Best,

Mark
