Gord,

from now on - always check out moyermarine's site (MoyerMarine.com) for 
suggestions - Don Moyer is readily available for questions like this via 
e-mail.

However it sounds like (I do not remember the exact name) the adjusting 
nut for the transmission shifter is loose - it can break & Moyer sells 
some type or repair kit if necessary. But you can access this nut on the 
4 bolt plate over the tranny.  This nut adjusts how hard the system 
engages. The rpms go up due to there being no load on the engine .

So the 1st trick is to access that tranny plate  & take a look to see if 
you can adjust the nut down or clockwise to "tighten" it. if it just 
spins then the moyer kit may be necessary. Or you can swap out for a 
replacement - I have a few spares if that comes to pass.
