[Public-List] Alberg 30 or Triton?

This is one other reason I like to do a majority of the work. I know what I have then. Buying a boat for $15,000.00 or $20,000.00 all fixed up and ready does not make it any more seaworthy. I rebuild airplanes for a living so I know the value of a total restoration over just buying one that looks good. Paying a lot more money for one that has better equipment and new sails is a different story. Thanks for the luck I am sure I will need it.

There is no way in this world I would cross any ocean in a boat I bought
for $1,000.00.  My gut feeling is that there a some defects when the
external ballast has been glassed in.
