[Public-List] Waste holding tanks

Odd.. I've got one of the liner boats, but the cover on mine looks to be
HDPE. Removing the thing is one of my many back-burnered projects now
that Candy Cane's got a composting head (but might not stay on the back
burner for long now that I know that peeling the thing off doesn't open
up a hellmouth).

Cheers,
Kris

This applies only to the later model ???liner??? boats where Whitby converted the storage area under the floor to a holding tank by simply installing an aluminum cover over the area and caulked it and used pop rivets to hold it in place. Check out the corrosion, particularly to the pickup tube. There was no way that this tank could be emptied. The lid was easy to remove by drilling out the heads to the rivet and prying it off. Total removal time was less that 10 minutes...but then again, demolition is my specialty. There was basically compost in the bottom of this tank and no odor.
