Jim,
    Where have you located the battery bank? I am at the point in my rebuild
where I am putting in the floor timbers and I need to know if putting the
battery bank beneath the cabin sole is a good idea. Jim Mahseer kindly sent
me photos of the finished job that he did installing beneath the cabin sole
and it look pretty good. But I still have a feeling, left over from my
wooden boat days, of dread when I put electrics in the bilge. Do I have a
legitimate concern? He also uses 6 volt batteries in series. What's the
consensus on installing the battery bank below the sole?  ^volt vs 12 volt?
