[Public-List] Baby Stay Mast Connection ?

I have in the passed considered installing a baby stay but have not done
so.  My thoughts at the time was to install it at the point of the first
reef point of the main sail.  The rational was, under heavy wind
conditions having the stay the may reduce stress on the mast.
