[Public-List] tack for an asymmetrical spinnaker

It's been years since I looked at the technology, but back then gybing
'cruising' spinnakers was a not recommended evolution, at best.
It (asymmetrical spinnakers) seemed an awkward solution to a marginal
problem-eliminating the spinnaker pole.
Perhaps the technology has changed since then.

number of sites on using the asymmetrical sail on the internet today, I
found that it is common for the downhaul attached to the tack of the
asymmetrical spinnaker to run to a block behind the forestay and back to the
cockpit so the height of the tack can be adjusted according to how close one
is sailing to the wind. This is how the sail was tacked in previous years.
but we did have some foul ups... because the sheets were not properly lead.
I have the latter issue straightened out now, but still have a question
about the tack/downhaul line for this sail.

"turned inside out," can the tack downhaul become wrapped around furled head
sail? It is hard for me to visualize just where the tack/downhaul like goes
during the gybe. Right now my guess is that no one raises this issue as a
concern, it can not happen So, am I concerned about a non-problem or is my
premonition of disaster well founded?
