Hi everyone,
Im a long time reader of the list, and this is my first time posting. I sail
on #104 ECOLA which i currently keep in Rockland ME ( Moving it to Portland
next year). I would like to comment on the return line, i would highly
recomend NOT running a looped return as you discribe for several resons.
First, it would make bleeding the fuel system much more difficult.
Second if any air gets in the fuel system while running it would stall the
engine, and the only option to bleed it woudl be to open the bleed screws
rather than cycling the lift pump.
Finally, the injector pumps/injector use the fuel to cool themselves, and a
looped return will not provide that cooling.
