Can't help but to add my two cents. I'm using a 35lb Delta as primary on 150' of 5/16" chain. It works 98% of the time. Every time it failed it was in thick mud. From the Chesapeake Bay all the way to Panama, it never dragged. If you reverse hard you will know right away if it is going to bight or not, when it doesnt which is very rare, I just pull it back up, add a moderate sized (22lb) danforth (or lighter fortress) in front of it in Tandem, This works 100% of the time, any bottom and is easy enough for me to haul up even by hand. Just checked defender.com and a 35lb manson supreme is $379 vs the Delta at $239. If I needed an anchor and had these two options I wouldn't have to think even one second before buying the Manson even though I've never owned one, and still I do like my Delta. It only takes ONE time dragging towards a lee shore to see why you want the best you can get.
