[Public-List] Hull Painting

Definitely 2 part. Roll and tip. Roll horizontal and tip vertical and you won't get drips

It is a three person job

One tipping

One rolling

One mixing and thinning the paint and moving the ladders and stools for the other two.

Once you start you can't stop so think ahead and plan carefully.

Start on the center line of stern counter to hide the overlap. You want to a follow the hull line at the transom without painting the transom.

Work your way around the boat in 2 -3sqft at a time. Be careful not to get ahead of the tip person. They dictate the pace. This maximizes the working time.

30-45 minutes per coat. It is fast.

1qt of perfection and a 1/2qt thinner will provide 2 coats.

Mine is five years old and it is still shiny and bright with no waxing.

I couldn't be happier.

Thanks again Jim(tip) and Bob(roller).
