Yep, but I was remodelling the entire galley, so I was able to be a
touch more brutal with screws that had rusted in place and were much
happier to shear off than unscrew, etc. I still saved almost all of the
original material for reuse, but there were definitely some nasty bits.

I don't remember there having been any screws holding the counter in
place which were screwed into the plywood before the laminate was glued
on (but that was around 5-6 years ago now), so it should just be a
matter of drilling out the plugs over the screws in the teak trim,
unscrewing the screws that'll come out (you might need a robertson
screwdriver for them), grinding the rest down to whatever it's screwed
into, and lifting the countertop out. My recollection is that all the
screws are either screwed in at the forward end of the port cockpit
locker, or through the grab rail at the forward edge of the counter (and
that little corner where it jogs back to the companionway). YMMV.
