Everyone that has an engine and likes having one finds justification for
it.  Everyone that does not and likes not having one justifies that.

There's no absolute answer for everyone.  It boils down pretty much to
(personal) goals and (personal) taste.  Machismo/hair shirt has nothing
to do with it.
