[Public-List] Deck Painting

I was told to knock down the points of the diamond patterned nonskid
before applying Kiwigrip.
I used 40 grit...they say you will need less Kiwigrip if you knock down
the old nonskid area first.
I would use Kiwigrip again for future nonskid projects... it is the easy
button for nonskid.

Thank you all, Bill, Joe, Chris, Glenn, Gordon, Richard and Mike,

There was so much valuable information beginning with painting the skid
areas first and letting it cure before doing the non skid with Kiwigrip,
how to repair the spider cracks, what products to use, etc. I appreciate
all the time spent to provide such thorough information.

I did speak to someone at Kiwigrip to inquire about tinting and using it
over the diamond pattern. he is forwarding me the info on tinting which
I will share soon. He said that I could experiment with  it on the
diamond pattern and if not happy could remove it with water and a wire
brush within
2-3 days of application.
