[Public-List] Getting mast wires into the boat?

Hi Jeff,
I like the idea of the stainless tube. The previous owner just drilled a
hole to push the wires thru. This allows water to enter under the skin and
rot the wood core. I made a bronze tube with a mushroom shaped head
similar in appearance to a thru haul fitting. This I epoxied in place so
water will not spread into the core. It is located on the port side just
aft of the bulkhead and the and the connections are made in the head.

To keep water from running into the boat thru the tube I wrap the wires
with white rigging tape and coat it with liquid electrical tape. I had to
special order white liquid electrical tape from Jamestown Dist.
