US 11 is a non-liner boat as well with a leaking water tank under the
V-berth. We typically do not carry much water on board and replacing the
tank was at the bottom of the jobs priority list; thus, our solution was to
purchase a plastic water tank that fit under the starboard settee. The
tank, as I recollect, holds 5-8 gallons. I ran hose to the sink and this
arrangement has worked out well. The advantages are it was simple and
inexpensive. Granted, the amount of water we carry would be insufficient
for extended cruising, but for weekend cruising it works out well.
