[Public-List] Re-Coring my Cockpit Floor #116

If I stepped in the middle, it felt as if the top fiberglass skin would
deflect and touch the bottom skin, and perhaps both would deflect down a
bit. It still felt very strong. The fiberglass is thick so I don't think
anyone would ever be able to crack much less go through eve jumping on it.
I bet my cockpit sole has been line this for many years, and so far
everyone else has lived with it. My wife didn't feel the repair was
necessary before we tore into it.

Ever walk on an old wood floor in an old house, before there was a 16"
standard on floor joists? The floor has a bit of give, but still
strong..that's what my cockpit sole felt like.

1. I want the cockpit sole to be a solid inflexible surface because that's
how it should be.
2. I was concerned that the core moisture could get to the core in the
cockpit sidewalls. Don't know if it could, but why take a chance.
