Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a new genoa.

I don't have roller furling; I use hanks. I need to be
able to put the sail in a cockpit locker with the working
jib and the storm jib.

This is going to be a light air sail to use below 10 to 12 knots
and the typical sunny Saturday around here is really more like 5 knots.

In a perfect world, it would be alternating white and blue stripes
as jibs often were back in the 1950s and 60s. Something like:

My present genoa came to me used off an older Alberg 30. It's
diaphanous. It flies in the lightest of breezes and stuffs
into a tiny bundle. However it also has holes, stretches
visibly in more than 8 knots and is of marginal use going to
weather.

So who has suggestions as to dimensions, sailcloth type and
sailcloth weight?

SG
