Stephen,
Contact me off list and I will put you in touch with David Terrell. I sail with him occasionally in Traverse City, Michigan. This summer he purchased a new sail termed UPS sail which I believe was mfg. by Doyle. This was an amazing sail. We flew it off a sprit he has mounted on his A 30 but I don't believe that a sprit would be necessary. David purchased for light air broad reaching and downwind work but the sail held up well to 70 degrees off the wind. It is made from what looks to be spinnaker material and so can be bagged easily. David has a continuous line furler for it which has a line/wire? in the luff. It has a high foot and not much of a shoulder in the leach.
David would have all the details. Sounds like a sail that you might be interested in.

I already contacted sailmakers, with the old sail in hand.
They hemmed and hawed, but didn't really have a straight
answer.
The existing jib is definitely dacron, not nylon, it's just
old and lost most its resin. It may also be from the brief era when
a tighter weave was used rather than excess resin in order
to achieve low stretch.
I was hoping someone would say "Oh I just bought a new jib.
It measured 19 feet on the foot, was one foot short of the masthead,
made of X ounce cloth made by Company Y. They don't use
a lot of resin. The sail rolls up into 1 by 3 foot package.
It goes to weather great." Or "I have a X ounce jib. It
stretches way too much in anything over 8 knots". Or "My jib
is X oz, but I have to leave it on deck because it won't
squish down enough". In short, recent experience from somebody
with the same issue because they have the same boat.
