[Public-List] Another Spinnaker question

What we've done in those circumstances is run a line through the forward
block on the rail with a large snap hook on the end.  The other end tails to
a sheet winch.  We can haul down on the guy sort of like a Barber Hauler on
a sheet.... And as you say, that helps keep the pole level under control in
heavy air reaching.   We don't put the guy itself in the block (although I
put snatch blocks there for the purpose) because pushing it down while under
load was too exciting....
