[Public-List] Seaflo Bilge Pumps

The Gusher is a great pump.

At boat shows the distributor used to have an impressive demonstration
running in a big tank full of rope and rags.  The Gusher 10 was able to keep
pumping water while drawing the debris through.

I had a Gusher 25 in the wooden Folkboat.  Basically it was a two chamber
Gusher 10 so it threw water on both strokes... We used to joke that when
pumping with it we could feel the boat jerking upwards at each stroke...

A Gusher 10 and certainly a 25 will move more water than most electric pumps
(barring engine driven units)  And it's been proven that their performance
tends to INCREASE when the chips are down due to the concetrated motivation
of the operator.  An electric pump will operate only to rated capacity and
so long as the electrical system is strong.
