Brian,
I beg to differ with you on one major point. That is the condition of your boat. She is a fine boat which needs an auxiliary,...............and that is all. She has been well maintained and is in sail-away condition. Gosh! there are some old salts who see an auxiliary as an unnecessary nuisance.
I sense your frustration, we have talked about this. Problem is with a limited market and where the boat is located. The Non-problem is that she is an Alberg 30. This is a proven boat which is very able to provide much pleasure to the owner who has the time and resources to invest.
Brian, why not try Good Old Boat Classifieds or some Classic Plastic Forum? Manana is sister ship to Lorrie Rose so I have tears in my eyes when I think of her being parted out.
Our very best to you,
Michael #133 Lorrie Rose

Glenn, et al.
I am in a similar situation. I have a fresh water boat which is in generally
good condition with a Gray Marine Sea Scout that is removed and needs to be
rebuilt. I am basically at the end of the earth and have tried to find a
local buyer who might be interested in a project boat. I am going to put the
boat on ebay this weekend with a low reserve. If it does not sell, based on
the responses to this list of people interested in parts, I am seriously
considering selling it off piece by piece.

So, is this just an old neglected boat, or is there some major damage that
prevents restoration? There are always guys on the Cruising Forum looking
for a low cost rebuild project- not that all of them finish the job by any
means. But it seems a shame for an Alberg hull to go to waste for want of
500 bucks. You can't touch a new 30 footer for under 100k these days.
