> - Does anyone have a mainsail they no longer use and would be open to selling? If so, please email me separately, at BrentonGL at yahoo.com. The previous owner of my A30 left the mainsail on the boom for I don't know how long, and time and the wasps ate giant holes into it.
> - I'm a 1968 boat, and when I bought it all hardware and brightwork were removed. It was quite the puzzle figuring out where everything needed to be put back in place. The companionway hatch is wooden and it sits on the tracks with a little lip overhanging the track on each side. However, it looks like 4 U-brackets or something similar used to keep the hatch from falling off the track when heeling. Anyone know what is supposed to hold that companionway hatch down or have ideas on how to custom rig it? I'm thinking I might be able to find some small stainless steel U-brackets and just screw them in once the hatch is in place. But the only way I'll be able to remove that hatch again is to unscrew all the brackets. Is that standard?
> - I have jib sheet tracks inboard of my toe rail port & starboard, but they are flush with the deck so no car can slide on. i thought maybe a spacer is supposed to go under the stainless steel track, but there is nothing. Is this normal for a 1968? I can't figure out how it would function without replacing the track, so a car can slide onto it.
