I'm pretty sure I have the unit that has the big X on it. I like it a lot,
I have changed the bulbs to LEDs.
My understanding is they discontinued that model because the strobe
function is a listed distress signal and it was being abused.
It's pretty spiffy to use in a crowded anchorage to attract fellow raftees.
I'm the abuser they targeted lol.
