Christian,

In addition to the things that Paul listed, you might consider
   4) Turn the boat to face the expected winds as the hurricane passes
   5) If you can, use longer dock lines that reach to further pilings.

You can see the longer dock lines in 
http://alberg30.org/pictures/HurricaneIsabel/photo2.html tied to the 
pilings on the other side of the pier and the outside of the neighbor's 
slips. In http://alberg30.org/pictures/HurricaneIsabel/photo4.html you 
can see that these long lines were still at a modest angle, though the 
red boat at the neighbor's pier was being heeled over by a tight 
connection to the dock. (The owner of that boat made no preparations 
that I saw.)
