I repowered 3 years ago from Atomic 4 to Beta 16.    I decided to stay with
my original 2blade because the operating point was just about the same. At
max throttle on the A4 I think I never got more than about 16 HP, moving
the boat at Hull speed .   With the Beta at max RPM the boat does 6.4 knots
in calm water.

A properly sized and pitched 3blade might help in headwinds and waves. I
recently drove right into 20-25 knots and 2-3 foot waves getting about 4.5
knots which is good enough for me!
