[Public-List] Rivet for mast rail

Eric,
From my experience with this, the track and mast amount to a thickness of 3/16”. Therefore, if you can, select a length of rivet appropriate for this thickness. Too long and it will never tighten down. Too short and it won’t expand correctly on the inside of the mast.

Eric if you purchase aluminum rivets just make certain that the pulling pin is aluminum and not steel. Start by drilling out a loose rivet with an 1/8" drill bit. If the rivet comes out clear from it's hole then you know you have an 1/8" original rivet if not go to the next larger size which would be 3/16". I would start small and then go larger only if need be.
