I have learned that the ST-2000 can handle upwind as long as the main is
well trimmed. If you are overtrimmed then you would be using too much
rudder to maintain course.  I concentrate on keeping the main trimmed, and
watch the action of the tiller pilot.  If it develops a large bias I ease
the main.  That's how I trim main when racing - keep an eye on the helm as
well as the tell-tales and the luff.
