Hey Greg,

I have the same seats on US 11. The boat resides on the Chesapeake.  I have
tried many different options over the years on these seats.

For the last 5 years or so, I have used Sikkens Cetol Natural.   I started
with bare wood and applied several coats as per the directions on the can.
We are "casual" racers so the seats get a fair bit of foot traffic.  Once I
did the initial coatings, I placed a maintenance coat on it at least once a
year. I now place a coat on in the early spring and generally try to place
another coat on before winter layup.  I know it is not a perfect solution
but it looks nice and has held up fairly well.  We do stand on the seats
frequently and I haven't noticed nor had complaints about slipping.

For me, when I tried Teak Oil, the seats grayed quickly ( like within a
month).  Varnish looked slightly better to my eye but it was a lot more
work.

I also used the Sikkens on the wooden toe rails and that has held up very
well.  Maintenance coats are the key to keeping it looking fresh.
