I don’t have a tillerpilot, but love using my Ratcliffe wind vane. It requires no power and keeps a constant course relative to the wind. Unless you power most of the time I think a windvane is the way to go. An Alberg 30 has circumnavigated the world twice with a wind vane and if he batteries die there’s no problem!
