Hi Greg,

Not on my A30 but a 26' Katama... I had problems with my diesel fuel tank
(same engine as yours) and had to cut it out to remove it. There was
perhaps a cup of black gook, sand, sludge in the tank... I replacing it
with a portable plastic fuel tank. What is nice about the portable tank is
that I can see how clean it is and at the end of the year I can dump to
fuel into my truck- no problems with water in the fuel, bacteria growth,
old fuel, etc. I also had an Alberg35 (Atomic 4) that also had a filthy
fuel tank. Bad news!

If the gauge tells you the filter might be dirty, I wouldn't question the
gauge first but rather replace the filter first. If the old filter is clean
then maybe question the gauge? (Or put the gauge on a test bench - ie try
it out outside of the fuel system.)
