David,

Not familiar with the location of the water pump and impeller on an Atomic
4 as Constance has a Yanmar.
Would suggest considering cutting an access panel in one of the two cockpit
lockers.
Cut an access panel on Constance, in the port locker, in the winter of
2021-2022 so that I could more easily
adjust the stuffing box...I had replaced the stuffing that winter.  Works
well.   Could be that an access panel
of that type would allow you improved access to the water pump and impeller
as well.   I made the cuts in the
plywood, that forms the inboard wall of the cockpit locker, about 1-1/2"
from the hull, the underside of the deck,
and the forward end of the locker.
