On the hull a few inches above the current antifouling waterlineI have
noticed a slight "etched" line. This is where the top of the old bootstripe
was painted.

Now we don't have a ton of gear onboard but by the end of season, the scum
line almost reaches that "etched" line.

Is that line for the boot strip or is it actually to denote the waterline?
