What you are about to experience is a great handling, seaworthy boat.
The Alberg is pretty much the only cruising boat I have much experience
with, and so I take it's abilities for granted. what is fun is when crew
familiar with other boats handle her. The combination "barn door" rudder/cut
away fore foot makes her very maneuverable. some boats apparently have
problems tacking. Not the Alberg. The down side is, when you are at the
tiller, she needs constant "advice", if you follow, particularly when big
seas are knocking her bow around.

She is a forgiving, heavy displacement(especially by today's
standards),ruggedly built and with many oversize fittings, sailboat. Enjoy
