Thomas:Presently looking at a Kubota 18 h.p diesel.with intercooled
system $3600 dollars.You are turning a 13x9 three blade wheel,what gear
ratio are you using and brand name transmission.You seem to get good
performance and good fuel economy as well,and if I use same prop as you
and gear ratio I should get nearly equal performance.The price I quoted
above is without trans.Haven't seen anyone mention on onelist the use of
a Kubota,but it should be better than the old gas engine I pulled out
of  my boat.How bad could a brand new diesel be.The company makes lots
of earth moving equip.and has been around for a while.
