Hi Bill:
My hand rails on cabin had just about weathered away I built two new
ones since I couldn't find a matching set anywhere.The new ones I put
inside and the ones inside that still looked nice went outside.Jacques
is right mark your rails when you remove them,port bow etc.My rails had
the bolt heads on interior.I've reseated everything on the decks and
cabin of my boat with 1/8"black rubber gasket material,makes a good seal
and I believe especially on glass deck the rubber gasket can be tighten
with less chance of stress fractures on the gelcoat,when reinstalling
hand rails,stanchions etc.Once you have your hand rails back in place
just trim of excess rubber with razor knife.
