[Alberg30] Atomic 4 (was Spark Plugs)

I've used synth oil in my A4 for six years and agree
that it makes the engine run better, although there
are plenty who would say it is no better in an A4 than
standard oil. It does seem to quiet it down.

A mechanic once told me that switching to synth will
not really affect whether an engine burns oil, but it
does decrease the symptoms at the exhaust pipe - synth
doesn't burn sooty blue. In fact, he warned me about a
car I was looking at with high miles - it had
synthetic oil in it. Apparently, it's a trick among
some folks selling used cars...
