[Alberg30] Back to Chainplates

After increasing the chainplate bolt diameter to 5/16, I began to wonder if I 
should have built up the attachment fillet/knees.  This after reading in 
Practical Sailors review of the A30 that many owners have done this.  They 
seemed sturdy and without rot; for Northeast coastal cruising, do you think 
this is necessary?  Your thoughts are appreciated.
