I recently went to purchase a replacement halyard at west marine. My Main
does come back to the cockpit. Found a pre-made halyard from yale  3/8 90'
long.  that was enough with several feet extra....bought it!

  I am in the process of adding a block at the bottom of the mast to turn
the halyard to a winch on the cabin top. I therefore need to replace the jib
halyard. Could I get some advise from the group??
  1. Sailnet has Yale ultra low stretch Rope on sale, is that appropriate?
  2. If so, what size and how long should it be?
  SallyB #441 is 230 miles away so I am not able to  measure for myself.
