[Alberg30] Re: Throttle/shift controls

I am dealing with a related problem and my research suggests that no one
makes a single lever shift/throttle that works on an Atomic 4. The
reason given each time is that the A4 transmission is set up in a way
that requires a longer shift throw distance that any available one lever
system allows for. I am a non-mechanic, so I hope this explanation makes
sense. If others know that I have the wrong info about what is avaliable
out there, I would surely like to know about it. I think a single lever
system would be better than a dual lever system. I also understand that
Morse used to make a heavy duty single lever system that did work but
that it is no longer made and is not avaliable.

It is a morse control. Is your problem with the shift or the throttle
or
both? Vetus make a very nice one that is reasonably priced. Do not get

the cheap one from West Marine it is not heavy enough to do the
shifting
although fine for the throttle It is not the right one. Morse still
make
the oem dual lever but it is expensive.. You may just need new cables
