Greetings,

       Re: Peter Amos' note of 5-28 and the Racors and their use with
Universal M3-20B and what's the correct micron size etcŠ..

       In checking on this I also found that the Universal fuel filter has
no micron rating on it.  I intend to call my supplier to find out about
this. (Barb at Gallery Marine in Seattle is a whiz with this kind of thing.
Gallery is the west coast distributor for Universal/Westerbeke. )

       The Universal manual (newer edition, and still pretty poor but with
more clear illustrations) says that the lift pump must be filtered by 10-25
microns or smaller.  That would suggest, perhaps, that the secondary
on-the-engine filter would be smaller.
