George,

Being one that painted an Alberg with Awlgrip, I would not recommend it
until the boat looks horrible. 

I agree with George D. once it is done you can never go back. The only
reason I painted with Alberg was the p.o. painted it a robin blue which look
like you know what. Also there is a paint company in Florida that
manufactures an epoxy marine paint and only sells direct. If you would like
the name I can get that for you.

Has the boat ever been painted at all?  If it's white, it's likely to be 
the original gelcoat.  If so, I would buff it out rather than paint it.

You may have a hard time getting other types of paint to stick to an 
epoxy primer.  I wouldn't do that.

Also, be aware that painting the non-skid makes it more slippery.
