[Public-list] topping lift

Gord and John, thanks for the help with the topping lift. Just one more
question though: is there any chance the line would get tangled with the
backstay when in the slack position? With the cable that the previous
owner had running from aft of the masthead to the rear of the boom
(acting as a topping lift), the cable would have a tendency to wrap
itself around the backstay if I wasn't extremely careful when
disconnecting it. Due to the fact that there was no adjustment it had to
be removed from the boom and connected to a cleat on the mast when the
main was up.
