The Dremel has an attachment that is a rotary saw (looks like a drill
bit). It has a small base (looks like a small router base) that has a
1" or so radius. If you need to get really close, you can remove the
base and get right into the corner (but you lose your uniform depth
control).
I used the Dremel rotary saw to cut out heating registers in 3/4 inch
bamboo flooring that I installed. It got hot and scorched a little, but
it made the cuts. I don't think it would have much trouble going
through fiberglass (although it will probably create a lot of little
tiny nasty fiberglass fragments).
