Having done a diesel in an A30, my current preference would be the Beta.  In the older (non liner) boats the Yanmar 2GM fits well, but requires extensive bed work.  For the newer boats the Westerbeake fits well.  Beta has proven itself and will fit both newer and older with minimal bed work.  Plan on a new shaft and prop along with the tank and fuel plumbing.
