Look at all the thru-hull fittings, as the original Whitby pieces on some boats were bronze pipe peened over washers. Not secure enough and at least one boat sank. I replaced all my thru-hulls with cast bronze 1-piece fittings about 10 years ago. - Gordon White, Brigadoon II
