[Public-List] Insulating the icebox

The insulation on my pre liner boat (220) was pretty much nonexistant. A
batt of pink panther haphazardly fit, and totally watersoaked.
Converted to a chest type, 4-5 layers 1" foam, with aluminum foil between
layers especially on the engine side.
I am well pleased with result. Beer stays cold easily for a week.
Chesapeake Bay summers.
At first I was resistant to the idea of all that insulation reducing
interior volume, but the huge decrease in amount of ice required
(especially for my typical 3 or 4 day cruise) made it a positive trade off.
