Yah. I think I will check with my local window glazier because I know he sometimes puts clear plastic in storm doors.

</div>The other thing to take into consideration is the UV protection of either polycarbonate or acrylics both plastics will show significant yellowing after few years outdoor.  

When buying at home depot and such it is not always easy to get the proper grade with UV protection
