[Public-List] Stuffing box questions

Thanks Mike, Lanny and George. I was able to get the hose from Defender.
Oddly, my cutless bearing was not the "Barracuda" listed on the website,
but the "Blenny." It's a 7/8 inner diameter by 1.25" outer. My friends at
Bayshore Marine were able to order it for me. I also found that the entire
stern tube came out with the cutless housing. It was held in by what Mike
Lehman told me was "grey s**t." I was able to dig that out and rebedded
with 5200. I also noticed that the cutless housing water intake holes had
been painted over (by me most likely.) Very helpful information on the site
about how those work and the holes to drill into the new bearing to get
cooling water in. Glad to have this project behind me.
